You are moments from departing your watch shift, back to your corner of the city to remove your mask and sleep for an hour or two before trying to slip into the work of the day, when you hear the shouts carry across the central road. Two have just returned from the mountain in a state of panic - one does not speak, eyes ever focused just beyond his frame of vision in the city square. The other just yells, at the top of..her lungs, you see now. The man, an uncle, was hit by a blast of wind up on the mountain without his mask on, and even as they made haste back to the city, he became less responsive, only moving his feet at her urging. As she finishes her recollection, he blinks. And, with a low hum from the back of his throat, he stands.
