Under the mountain, and through. Some sporedust has stuck to your clothes, but it provides a faint, welcome luminescence as you wander the dark paths. There is always a sound just beyond the drips of distant stalactites, the expected subterranean murmurings. The woman turns back to tell you that her uncle had tread further into the caves than anyone had ever tread, and that he rejoined her speaking of something awakening...You've walked for hours and can feel by the flow of the air that you are close to the surface, just as the distant sound grows closer. In the darkness behind you, faces appear that look more arachnoid than human. They move with no human limitations like gravity - will you reach the surface in time?
