Awake, to wind upon your face. You've fallen asleep underneath the hazy crawl of the predawn light, filtered through some of the lower hanging branches of the tree. It is your shift on the citizen watch, and being so roused, you are startled by the sound of the fanfare. Today, the cry of the trumpet sounds more strange, as if the orange light had filtered it somehow. Your city isn't due for another sporestorm for weeks, but nevertheless you check the seal around your mask. A troubling omen as the city awakens.
